Top Gun: Maverick has grossed over $900 million within a month of its release. That reports ‘The Hollywood Reporter’. This makes it the third film to have achieved this since the outbreak of the corona pandemic in March 2020. Previously, this was successful in ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ and ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’.
The 1986 sequel to Top Gun is breaking records all over the world . In the Netherlands, Maverick is officially the most successful film by actor Tom Cruise ever since last Monday. This record has so far been held by the sixth Mission: Impossible film Fallout , released in 2018.
The highly anticipated sequel to Top Gun had its European premiere at the Cannes Film Festival last month. In Top Gun: Maverick , the rebellious pilot is given a special assignment by his old buddy Ice (Val Kilmer), now a general, to train a young crop of airmen for a very special and dangerous mission. One of the young pilots is Bradley “Rooster” Bradshaw (Miles Teller), the son of Maverick’s late best friend Goose.
