In addition to two new Fast & Furious suites , Universal is currently preparing spin-offs for the hit saga. The first will focus on Luke Hobbs ( Dwayne Johnson ) and Deckard Shaw ( Jason Statham ), two characters loved by franchise fans. Charlize Theron, who played the great villain of the eighth episode released last year, should also appear in this spin-off.
The Wrap reveals that David Leitch is at the top of the list to make the film. Good news for action fans, as he made himself known as a stuntman (on The Mechanic, including, already with Statham, or John Wick, which he headed the choreography of fights). Leitch is a pro staged impressive bats: it is also responsible for Atomic Blonde, with Charlize Theron.
The director is currently looping Deadpool 2, expected May 16 at the cinema. The spin-off of Fast & Furious is expected to come out in 2019.
