US host Oprah Winfrey has confirmed once and for all that she will not run in the next US election.

The first black billionaire woman in the world made the announcement on Wednesday in an interview with Lin-Manuel Miranda, the creator of the musical “Hamilton”.

The actor told the host that he did not want to pursue a career in politics, which Oprah responded to: “Me neither,” can we see in a video broadcast on TMZ.

Speculation about his possible candidacy for the 2020 election had been revived during Winfrey’s speech at the Golden Globes last January.

The popular host had already said his intentions during an interview, in InStyle magazine, made three weeks before his speech inflamed at the gala.

“It’s not something that interests me,” Oprah said. “I do not have the DNA for that. (…) It’s not for me, “she added.

The hypothesis of Oprah Winfrey’s entry into the campaign regularly resurfaced, although she had never given any evidence of her interest in politics.
