Liz Sheridan, the actress best known to the general public for her role in Seinfeld , has died in New York at age 93. She starred in the comedy series from 1990 to 1998, playing Jerry Seinfeld’s mother Helen.
Her spokesperson and best friend Amanda Hendon announced on Friday that Sheridan had died in her sleep.
The character Helen Seinfeld was the only person who was not stuck in the series, but could be seen in all seasons. Before starring in Seinfeld, Sheridan starred as nosy neighbor Raquel Ochmonek on the comedy series ALF .
Sheridan also starred in several Broadway musicals, including Life with Louie . She was in a relationship with the actor James Dean, who died in 1955.
