With $ 40.5 million in revenue, Scarlett Johansson leads the annual ranking of the world’s highest paid actresses set for Thursday by Forbes. She precedes Angelina Jolie ($ 28 million) and Jennifer Aniston ($ 19.5 million).

At 33, the actress has quadrupled her income between June 2017 and June 2018 in favor of her role in “Avengers: Infinity War”, new avatar of the Marvel-Walt Disney series. She will take her character from the Black Widow in a new opus of the franchise, expected in 2019. The estimate of income for Forbes magazine takes into account the stamps of actresses but also their advertising contracts. In fourth place are Jennifer Lawrence (18 million), then Reese Witherspoon, (16.5 million), Mila Kunis, Cate Blanchett, Melissa McCarthy and Gal Gadot. Emma Stone, Oscar winner for her role in the musical “La La Land”, which was at the top of the previous Forbes ranking, is coming out of the Top 10. Forbes magazine observes that only two actresses this year exceed $ 20 million in revenue, compared to three last year and four in 2016. The blame for the absence of female roles in blockbusters, the publication adds. The ranking of the highest paid actors will be published next week. In the previous edition, Mark Wahlberg came in first with $ 68 million in revenue.
