When the spin-off of her sitcom Roseanne starts on television, Roseanne Barr hopes to be in Israel. The comédienne moves temporarily to the country.
In the podcast of befriended rabbi Shmuley Boteach, Barr told her that she wants to focus on her Jewish faith for a few months. “I have the opportunity to get lessons from my favorite teachers, so that’s what I’m moving to”, according to the actress who had become accursed.
“I’m lucky that I have some money behind me, I am happy that I can go in. It is a great pleasure and a privilege to be a Jewish woman,” says Barr.
The actress, therefore, wants to keep aloof from The Conners, the spin-off of Roseanne that is made after the reboot was canceled because of racist statements by the comedian.
“I’m not going to curse or give my blessing, I’ll stay neutral, that’s what I’m going to do, I’ll stay away from it.” She does this primarily through self-protection, says the actress. “I suffer from mental problems with depression and things like that, I have to stay on the middle ground, otherwise I will end up in the darkness, and I do not want that anymore.”
