Presenter Caroline Flack from the British dating program Love Island died on Saturday at the age of 40. Her family confirmed her death on Saturday, BBC News reports .
“We can confirm that Caroline died on February 15,” says Flack’s family statement. “We ask the press to respect the privacy of her family during this difficult period.”
A family lawyer tells BBC News that the presenter herself has left life.
Flack presented Love Island from 2015 to 2019. After an accusation she denied having abused her friend Lewis Burton, she stopped presenting the program, which was shown in the Netherlands on RTL 5 and Videoland.
In November, RTL announced that it will temporarily stop reality programs such as Love Island . The channel decided to do this after sexually exceeding behavior in reality show De Villa .
