Opera singer Katherine Jenkins is recovering after being assaulted in London while trying to stop an assault on the street.
The 39-year-old star was going to a rehearsal for his charity concert at St.Luke’s Church in Chelsea on Wednesday afternoon (December 4), when he witnessed the attack on an old woman.
She stepped in to help and became the victim, according to her agent, who reveals that Jenkins helped police officers identify the thief, who was “arrested shortly after.”
“Miraculously, Katherine managed to perform at the concert since she didn’t want to disappoint the organization,” says the representative.
A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police confirmed that police were called for an incident in Chelsea and arrested two children under 15 on suspicion of theft. One of the teenagers remains in custody.
