On her first visit to the British royal house, Michelle Obama worried about all the protocols she had to remember. These concerns were, however, taken away by Queen Elizabeth, who called the rules ‘nonsense’.
Obama remembers her visit to Windsor Castle in 2016 when she would pay a visit to the Queen. “In my head a voice said: ‘do not fall down the stairs, do not touch anyone, whatever you do,'” says the former woman on Monday at an event in London, writes CNN Tuesday.
Elizabeth, however, quickly reassured her. “She said: ‘Come in, sit where you want.’ If you want to stick to the protocol, she says right away that that is nonsense.”
Obama also revealed that her husband Barack is a big fan of the British queen, because she reminds him of his grandmother. “Elizabeth is smart, funny and honest, he is a huge fan.”
