Kim Kardashian (39) and Kanye West (42) were so impressed by Just Mercy that they wanted to give more people the chance to see the film. The couple plans to rent cinemas throughout the US and raffle the tickets.
Just Mercy tells the true story of Bryan Stevenson, founder of the Equal Justice Initiative. That organization assists prisoners who cannot afford good lawyers themselves. The film follows Bryan Stevenson, played by Michael B. Jordan, during his first trial, that of the wrongly convicted Walter McMillian (Jamie Foxx).
For the cinema promotion, Kim works together with Represent Justice, an organization of one of the producers of the film. The reality star has worked regularly for prisoners in the last two years and, together with a legal team, ensured that a number of them were released. This usually involved people convicted of relatively minor offenses who had received very long sentences for it.
I was so moved by the film #JustMercy, that Kanye and I wanted to make sure more people could see this powerful film. So we’re teaming up with @werepjustice to give YOU the chance to see the film for free. Find out how: https://t.co/LbJMn6vfGg

The Kardashian count started a law study last year and, like her father Robert Kardashian, wants to become a lawyer. Something she was laughed at earlier.
