The day after her visit to Cumbria, Kate Middleton, 37, took part in another official event – last night she became a guest of the gala dinner of Action on Addiction, the patron of which she is. This organization helps people suffering from drug addiction, and also provides support to their families and loved ones.
At the dinner, Kate Middleton not only gave a speech, but also looked into the kitchen, where she talked to the chefs who were responsible for the gala dinner. Among them were former clients of the organization who had previously suffered from addictions, and now demonstrate excellent culinary skills.
Action on Addiction goes beyond its help to those who suffer from addiction, supporting them on the road to recovery, she also provides support to children and families affected by drug addiction. It is the only charitable organization that works in all areas of research, treatment, family support and vocational education.
This dinner not only marks a week of awareness of addiction, but also gives us all the opportunity to once again recall the vital work that is aimed at helping everyone who suffers from drug addiction.
