Justin Bieber is the first artist to break the limit of 50 million subscribers on YouTube. The Canadian pop star thanks his fans via Twitter for the record.
In his acceptance speech, Bieber refers to the account name Kidrauhl with which he started on YouTube. The singer was discovered at the age of thirteen by his current manager Scooter Braun with this account.
Last month the first episode of Bieber’s documentary Seasons was released, which can only be watched on YouTube. The first four episodes of the ten-part series have now appeared.
The Bieber videos have been viewed more than three billion times in the past year. His most recent video clip, for his single Yummy , has already received more than 150 million views. His most watched video of all time is the clip with the song Sorry , with 3.2 billion views.
Bieber releases his new album Changes on Valentine’s Day . The single Intentions will be released on February 7 , a collaboration with rapper Quavo.
