Jennifer Aniston plays the first female president of the United States in the new Netflix film First Ladies. Tig Notaro, who writes the script for the film with Stephanie Allynne, plays the president’s wife, reports The Hollywood Reporter.
The political comedy revolves around Beverly and Kasey Nicholson, America’s first female president and her wife, the First Lady. According to the producer, the story shows that behind every great woman is another great woman.
Comedian Tig Notaro and her partner Stephanie Allynne previously worked together on the One Mississippi series for Amazon. This came to an end recently after two seasons.
Notaro currently has several projects in production at netflix: a new comedy special can be seen from 22 May. Notaro will also direct a brand new comedy special of talk show host and comedian Ellen DeGeneres.
