Huawei announces its 7X Honor, an entry-level smartphone with an 18: 9 aspect ratio screen. Stylish, impressive screen for this price but not much under the hood?
Huawei has just introduced the Honor 7X. a smartphone that looks like two drops of water to the iPhone 7, but with an almost edge-to-edge screen in 18: 9 format. Almost up to now smartphones, rather very high-end, claiming the borderless argument have a screen ratio of 18.5: 9 for an occupancy of the front facade which is around 80% (83% for a Galaxy S8 for example), in the case of our Honor 7X, it will be 75% satisfied. In addition to this edge-to-edge display present on a smartphone at a very good price, the design and designs with an aluminum shell appear very convincing though not very original …
It will be available in China on 17 October. In Europe, we will certainly have to wait a few weeks probably at the end of the year, for an announcement that we would see well in December. Its price position – which looks particularly aggressive – could convince more than one. In China, the entry ticket will be 1,299 yuan, equivalent to 170 €.
Features in the market standards
A 5.93-inch display with a beautiful 2160 x 1080 pixel resolution, a Kirin 659 processor running at 2.36 GHz, supported by a Mali T830-MP2 graphics chip and 4 GB of RAM. Unsurprisingly specifications for a device of this price, performance should just be up to the competition. It is also equipped with a dual photo sensor of 16 megapixels and 2 megapixels. At the front, it has an 8-megapixel camera.
As for connectivity, Huawei has ignored the Bluetooth 5.0 (it must be satisfied with standard 4.1), but also on the WiFi 5 GHz and more annoying on the USB-C. The good news is the presence of a fingerprint reader, support for the 4G / LTE and a massive 3340 mAh battery. It runs on Android 7.1.
