Huawei has released 1 million smartphones with its own operating system HongMeng. On Wednesday, June 12, the Federal News Agency reported with reference to the brokerage company Rosenblatt Securities.
It is noted that this allows a potential user of the device to launch and use Android applications.
The novelty received smartphones Mate 30 and Mate 30 Pro, which will go on sale this fall.
In May of this year, the US Department of Commerce blacklisted Huawei for activities contrary to national security. Now, the company is, firstly, forbidden to buy technologies and components from American manufacturers, and secondly, it is forbidden to conduct business with US businesses without a corresponding license from Washington.
May 19, Google suspended contacts with Huawei. The Chinese company lost access to updates of the Android operating system, and the new smartphones will lack Google Play, Chrome, Gmail, YouTube, maps.
On May 23, the American IT company Microsoft removed the reference to Huawei products from its Azure Stack website . On the same day, the British company ARM instructed employees to stop contacts and freeze agreements with the company.
On May 10, it became known that Huawei found the Russian equivalent of the American Android operating system – the Aurora OS.
