The DC movie Justice League was not without a hit in 2017, but was not what they expected for many fans. They have been asking for almost two years to release the original version of the film and are now receiving support from a number of actors from the film itself.
Justice League was originally directed by Zach Snyder, but when his daughter’s death put him down for post-production film, he was replaced by Josh Whedon. The latter completed the film with new, extra scenes that he had written himself. However, this version was not very well received and fans of the superhero movie wanted to see Snyder’s original director’s cut.
On Sunday they received support from, among others, Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman) and Ben Affleck (Batman). They both posted a tweet with the hashtag ‘ReleaseTheSnyderCut’, or ‘release the Snyder version’. This hashtag was a worldwide trending topic on Twitter on Sunday evening.
