Craig could not drive and act at the same time, as it was considered too dangerous.
Actor Daniel Craig did not like his experience filming the new James Bond movie, “No Time To Die.” He was not allowed to drive the iconic Aston Martin DB5, during high-speed chase scenes due to security concerns.
The 51-year-old man told Top Gear magazine that he could not drive and act at the same time, as it was considered too dangerous. Then, specialist driver Mark Higgins took his place during the high-speed chase scenes in the movie, reports the Daily Mail.
“You know we fake it, don’t you? We are no longer allowed to do that, although it seems that I am driving, ”Craig explained.
Mark Higgins spoke with Esquire about getting behind the wheel of Craig’s latest Bond movie, and revealed that everything “done is real.”
“I think a lot of these movies are moving away from the CGI and trying to make it as real as possible,” Higgins said.
He added: “The environment in which we were driving was very, very restricted and very, very strict. Therefore, it is a difficult place to work. ”
Higgins added that while Craig “enjoys driving when he can,” he was happy to step back and let the professionals do the work.
“He is a fantastic actor, so fortunately he lets me drive and I let him act! So, we have a small agreement, ”joked Higgins.
