A judge has determined that Britney will remain under the tutelage of her manager Jodi Montgomery and her father Jamiie Spears.
A judge has issued a ruling indicating that the guardianship of Britney Spears, by her manager Jodi Montgomery, who will be in charge of decisions in the life of Britney and her father Jamie Spears, who will continue to take care of her finances, will continue at least until February 2021.
According to Variety, this comes shortly after Spears issued a request that her father be permanently stripped of his guardian position.
That came along with requests to allow Spears more control over her finances, and for a “qualified corporate trustee” to be appointed to manage her estate, instead of her father.
According to Variety, the terms of the guardianship were discussed in a recent closed online hearing, in which the singer’s parents were reportedly present.
At present, it is not clear what reason the court had for continuing the guardianship, or whether Spears’ requests to modify the conditions of the institution have been taken into account in the ruling.
