The Riverdale star loved being an executive producer on “Chemical Hearts,” as she “created something from scratch.”

Actress Lili Reinhart has become a producer and says she loved the experience because it gave her the opportunity to build something from scratch.

Reinhart, who previously starred in Riverdale, has served as an executive producer on the upcoming film “Chemical Hearts,” where she stars with Austin Abrams. The film is based on the novel “Our Chemical Hearts” by Krystal Sutherland.

“I loved helping to build something from scratch. Being an executive producer meant that I was incredibly involved from the beginning, to make sure this project went through in the best possible way, ”said Reinhart.

“When writer / director Richard Tanne and I met, we really fit together. It was great to realize that we had the same vision for the movie. We both wanted the film to have the depth and tone that the book has, ”he added.

“Chemical Hearts” is about a desperately romantic high school senior who falls in love with a mysterious classmate. They embark on an unexpected journey that teaches them about love, loss, and themselves. The film will be released on Amazon Prime Video on August 21.
