Thirty misses from 18 to 24 clashed Saturday night in Chateauroux (Indre) on the occasion of the 88th Miss France ceremony, dedicated this year to the fight against violence against women.
The evening, broadcast live on TF1, divided young women from 22 metropolitan areas and eight territories or overseas departments.
It is Maëva Coucke (23 years old), Miss Nord-Pas-de-Calais, who was elected Miss France 2018!
The young woman, 1.76 m, a student in first year law degree, preceded Miss Corse, first runner-up, Miss Ile-de-France, second runner-up and Miss Champagne-Ardenne and Miss Reunion, the last two finalists.
The new beauty queen, nominated by the vote of viewers, succeeds Alicia Aylies, who was last year the first Miss Guyana to win the crown.
