“Our art tells a story and those stories should be heard as they are intended”
“This was the only request I had in our ever-changing industry,” Adele tweeted on the news that the shuffle option has been removed from albums. ‘It’s not without reason that we make our albums with such care and it’s not for nothing that we think about the song order. Our art tells a story and those stories should be heard as they are intended. Thank you for listening, Spotify.’ The music service then responded to the singer with ‘everything for you’.
This was the only request I had in our ever changing industry! We don’t create albums with so much care and thought into our track listing for no reason. Our art tells a story and our stories should be listened to as we intended. Thank you Spotify for listening 🍷♥️ https://t.co/XWlykhqxAy

Incidentally, it is still not impossible to play the songs of an album in random order. Although it is no longer an option with the album, after clicking a random number, the option does appear again. When asked why this is, Spotify has not yet responded.
