‘Deperate Housewives’ actress Felicity Huffman and ‘Full House’ actress Lori Loughlin have been charged with fraud. The two actresses allegedly bribed employees at American elite universities so that their children could study there, various American media report. Huffman would also have been arrested.
The ladies are two of the nearly fifty parents who have been charged in the fraud case. Sports coaches from universities such as Yale, Stanford and Georgetown would have accepted money to hire students as athletes, regardless of their sporting performance. Examiners were also allegedly bribed. Parents are said to have deposited 25 million dollars between 2011 and early 2019 for admission to the prestigious schools.
Huffman and her husband, actor William H. Macy, reportedly donated $ 15,000 to give their eldest daughter twice the time for the admission test. Wrong answers were also corrected afterwards. Loughlin would have paid $ 500,000 so that her two daughters could study at the University of Southern California.
The actresses have not yet responded to the allegations.
