YouTube removed the latest trailer for The Nun after it was deemed too scary and violated the site’s policies.
The six-second trailer started with a black background on which you could see a volume icon that seemed to decrease on its own. Then a terrifying good sister appeared on the screen at the same time as a loud noise was heard.
Several netizens complained, saying the ad was too scary.
After judging that the ad violated its offensive anti-content policy, YouTube decided to remove it.
“We respect our users and want to avoid hosting content that may offend or shock,” said the streaming site in a statement.
The Nun is the fifth film in the series The Conjuring and will be screened in September.
Although the trailer has been removed by YouTube, it has already been reverted by a user and if you feel brave, you can watch it here.
