The big digital graduation ceremony that YouTube had planned for Saturday will be postponed for a day. The event, with major stars addressing American students, is now taking place Sunday due to the planned memorial service for George Floyd.
The four-hour ceremony is organized for students who are currently not being honored during their graduation due to the crisis. YouTube was a big name for the event. For example, Barack and Michelle Obama speak and artists such as Beyoncé, Katy Perry and Lady Gaga are also involved. Several bands and artists will also perform during Dear Class of 2020.
Facebook organized such a ceremony last month. There, Oprah Winfrey spoke and Lil Nas X and Jennifer Garner also addressed students from universities and schools in the United States.
