In a text for the magazine Marie Claire
, Justin Trudeau confides in the inequalities between women and men.
The Prime Minister is worried about his daughter's future in a world where women are still discriminated against.
"I am exceptionally proud of my daughter Ella-Grace. She grows up very well, she is very intelligent, she loves to debate, she is open to the mone that surrounds her. I love Ella very much and I worry, because as a father, son, husband and citizen, I witness the unequal obstacles that women and girls face every day. We are in 2017, but in Canada and around the world, women and girls still face violence, discrimination and stereotypes that limit them and prevent them from realizing their dreams. "

The Prime Minister wants at all costs to pass on good values to his boys.
" Our boys have the power and responsibility to change the culture of sexism, and I want Xavier and Hadrian - when he's a little older - to understand this. (...) I want my sons to escape this pressure to be particularly masculine, which is very damaging for the men and the people who surround them. I want them to be comfortable with themselves, and feminists, and that they are good, and who can be proud of who they are. "

Justin Trudeau will do everything to raise his children to become feminists. Because, according to him, equality will make us all a little
more free.
" Feminism is not only the belief that men and women are equal. It is to know that when we are all equal, we are all a little free.
This is the world we want to live in. This is the world in which we want our children to live. Raising our children to become feminists is to acknowledge that they all have a part to play in building our world. Raising our children to become feminists is to honor their
future, because they have the responsibility - and power - to build it for the better. "
