Twitter has banned Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut (34) from the platform from Tuesday because of hate speech and insults. She is known for her fanatical support of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi (70). His Hindu nationalist party was defeated in local elections last weekend.

Ranaut called on Modi in a tweet to ‘tame’ the winners of the elections in the state of West Bengal. She accused the winner, local Prime Minister Mamata Banerjee, of carrying out violent attacks on her defeated opponents. Banerjee has denied those attacks.
