Tom Hanks has landed a role in director Wes Anderson’s new film. The film will probably be shot in Spain, Deadline reports on Saturday.
It is the first time that the 65-year-old actor will be seen in a production of Anderson. Adrien Brody, Bill Murray and Tilda Swinton also star in the untitled film.
In October Anderson will release The French Dispatch . Starring Brody, Murray, Swinton, Frances McDormand, Timothée Chalamet and Lea Seydoux, the film premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in July. Set in 1950s Paris, The French Dispatch is about journalists who work for an American newspaper.
Anderson’s last film Isle Of Dogs was released in 2018 . Previously, he also created The Royal Tenenbaums , Moonrise Kingdom and The Grand Budapest Hotel, among others .
Hanks can first be seen in the movie Finch , which will be released on Apple TV+. He plays the leading role in it.
