Now the duo of friends is kindling with their daughters.
Bill and Ted is the third film in the fantasy comedy franchise of the same name, which follows the adventures of two musician friends, played by Alex Winter and Keanu Reeves. The first part of this story came out back in 1989, while the second – in 1991. In the new film, the elderly Bill and Ted, in the company of their daughters, embark on a journey through time, visiting different past eras and even the future. Their goal is to create a musical hit of a universal scale, gather their own group and give a concert, in order to thereby save the universe from destruction.
Bill and Ted is written by Ed Solomon and Chris Matheson, who previously worked on the first two films in the series. In addition to Winter and Reeves, the leading roles in the film will be played by Samara Weaving (I’m Going to Look, Akimbo Cannons) and Brigitte Lundy-Payne (The Glass Castle). Dean Paradiso (“In Search of the Galaxy”, “Fun with Dick and Jane”) became the director of the triquel.
Bill & Ted was originally set for theatrical release on August 21, but due to the coronavirus pandemic, the premiere was first pushed back a week later, and then Orion Pictures decided to release the film on September 1. The film can be viewed both on the big screen and in online cinemas.
