In the search for a successor to Ellen DeGeneres, comedian Tiffany Haddish seems to have the best credentials to present a new talk show. The Hollywood Reporter writes that on Tuesday.
The Ellen DeGeneres Show stop after nineteen seasons and more than three thousand episodes, the television presenter announced last week.
41-year-old Haddish has already stood in for DeGeneres several times and according to insiders, she would be used to the high workload as an experienced comedian, writes The Hollywood Reporter . The makers of The Ellen DeGeneres Show would in any case have already reported to Haddish.
63-year-old DeGeneres said earlier that she is no longer challenged in the work. “If you are creative, you have to be constantly challenged. No matter how much fun this is to make, it no longer challenges me.”
The decision came a year after several reports came out about a diseased work atmosphere at the talk show. In August, three producers were fired after an internal investigation into systematic (sexual) harassment and racism on the set. The producers have always denied the allegations.
