The Once Upon a Time movie in Hollywood is Quentin Tarantino’s ninth film. This succeeds classics such as Pulp Fiction, Django Unchained and Inglorious Bastards. A star cast can’t be missed: Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio play the lead roles.
“I look forward to telling a story about an LA and a Hollywood that no longer exists that way”
With Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, the director takes his audience back to the 60s. The film revolves around the former Western star Cliff Booth, played by Leonardo, and his stuntman Rick Dalton, played by Brad Pitt. They try to make their way through a city and industry that they hardly understand. Margot Robbie also managed to score a role, she plays the deceased Sharon Tate. This actress was murdered in 1969 by Charles Manson’s sect.
Damian Lewis, Dakota Fanning, Emile Hirsch, Timothy Olyphant and Kurt Russell also play in the film. It is also the last film in which the deceased Riverdale actor Luke Perry plays.
“I’ve been working on this script for five years,” says Quentin about Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. “In addition, I have been living in Los Angeles for most of my life. I look forward to telling a story about an LA and a Hollywood that no longer exists that way. And I couldn’t have done better than with the dynamic duo Leonardo and Brad. “
Earlier this week, the stars of the film gave previews by posting the posters on Instagram. This has already begun speculation that the film will premiere during the Cannes film festival. No confirmation has yet been received, but it will take a while before Once Upon a Time appears in Hollywood in the Netherlands. The film can be seen in the cinema from 15 August.
