Literally just Buckingham Palace announced that the husband of the British Queen Elizabeth II Prince Philip was hospitalized for the purpose of subsequent surgical intervention.

The Duke of Edinburgh was taken to the hospital of King Edward VII in London, where a planned operation on the thigh of the prince will take place tomorrow.

Prince Philip, I must say, made the British nervous in the last few days – without any apparent reason and official statements, he missed several important events for the royal family.

At first the Duke was absent from the award of the title of Colonel of the Grenadier Guard to his 58-year-old son Andrew, and then to the church service on the occasion of Easter.
