The popular franchise, launched in 1994 in the cinema, before knowing no less than three series from 1997, will know a prequel that will return to the origins of the discovery of the Gate of Stars. One of the main characters, Professor Catherine Langford – who discovered the first door in Egypt in 1928 – will be played by Australian actress Ellie Gall (in SG-1, it was played by Elizabeth Hoffman) .
She will be accompanied by her father, Professor Paul Langford, played on-screen by Connor Trinneer. The actor is not unknown since he played Michael Kenmore in 10 episodes of Stargate Atlantis.
