Spying on the fast-paced world of international espionage.
Under the aegis of Blue Sky Studios, which also produced the Ice Age series, this year’s joint animation film by Will Smith (who was the last to do the job in Chammes) and Tom Holland, known as the Spider-Man of the Marvel universe. Spies in Disguise (originally called Spies in Disguise) promises to be a very special experience based on a full-fledged preview.
Smith’s Lance Sterling is a loose, confident and engaging super spy, recognized in the industry. It could be no different than the inventor Walter Beckett, to whom Holland lends his organ, and although more than a miserable corporate man, he perfectly counterbalances this with his wit and ingenuity: making gadgets that Lance uses to save the world. But when one of the devices doesn’t work as planned, Walter and Lance are forced to work as a team to stop a worldwide threat.
The spectacular and endlessly entertaining preview of the first blaze includes an entire series, so we’re confident the original September animation will be back for a few months, and we’ll be enriched with an outstanding spy comedy. The film was directed by Nick Bruno (The Lords of the Green, Snoopy and Charlie Brown: The Peanuts Movie) and Troy Quane (9, The Dwarfs: Christmas Carol), with the original voices including Rashida Jones, Ben Mendelsohn, Rachel Brosnahan, Karen Gillan , DJ Khaled and Masi Oka.
