Singer Shania Twain takes a completely different path and will produce a television series, reports ‘The Hollywood Reporter’ on Monday.
“It really appealed to me”
The series is based on Debbie Macomber’s Heart of Texas books. The story is about three adult brothers and sisters who have to run the family ranch after the death of their parents.
Shania did not know the book series, but found the story moving and recognized many parallels with her own life. “I also love horses and my whole lifestyle in the countryside, where family is everything. It really appealed to me,” she said in a statement.
The 54-year-old Canadian is also going to write new music for the series. “I can write about love and loss and hardship and victory,” she says. “I am still a bit searching for the right sound and the feeling of the music.”
