The Hollywood couple of Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively have donated $ 400,000 to New York hospitals to help in the battle against the current coronavirus pandemic.
According to TMZ, Reynolds, 43, and Lively, 32, made personal donations of $ 100,000 to NYU Hospital, Mount Sinai, Northern Westchester and Elmhurst, reports dailymail.co.uk.
They are also encouraging other celebrities to help their local hospitals and health professionals.
Earlier this month, they donated $ 1 million to split between Feeding America and Food Banks Canada. Reynolds also pledged to donate 30 percent of all his gin profits to waiters who are out of work amid massive bar and restaurant closings.
He also teamed up with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to urge fans to stay home.
Through a fun video, the “Deadpool” star said: “I think in times of crisis, we all know that we are the celebrities we have the most. They are the ones who will help us get through this. Right after the health workers, of course… first aid personnel, people who work in essential services, ping pong players, mannequins, imaginary childhood friends, like 400 other types of people ”…
“Look, stay at home, practice social distancing, wash your hands. We are going to get through this together, ”he concluded.
