Radiodj Roosmarijn Reijmer has won the Pop Media Award on Saturday afternoon. The journalistic award was presented during Eurosonic Noorderslag conference in Groningen.
It is the 24th time that the prize was awarded. Reijmer said goodbye to her work as a DJ last year. After 17.5 years at 3fm she opted for a job at a booking office.
“With her own style in which she gave the most difficult electronics a place as self-evident as the last hit by Katy Perry, she managed to eliminate the distinction between underground and mainstream”, said the jury about her radio work.
Pop Media Prize is awarded for the entire oeuvre of a pop journalist or a medium, with special attention being paid to special performances in the past year.
