Witherspoon smiled when he remembered the moment he threw the dessert to the iconic actress, who will play the role of Perry’s mother, Mary Louis Wright, in the second season of Big Little Lies , the HBO series.
But it seems that it took several attempts. “I could have failed a couple of times”, but he said “it was good and very funny”.
“I have to say it was one of the five best moments of my career,” the producer shared.
In addition to this confrontation between her and Meryl of the new season, Witherspoon said, “The stories are so good this year, I think people will love to keep up with these women.”
But for Reese the most important thing is that he believes that people will want to know what happened after the unresolved end of last season.
“It’s been a lot of fun for us to explore what the consequences, you know, of the drama of the last episode,” he said.
