Nicki Minaj (26) spoke frankly on Twitter about women in a violent relationship. She advises women to help each other when they think someone is being abused instead of judging about it. The rapper draws on her own experiences for this.
“If you see a woman in a violent relationship, try to help her”
“If you meet a woman who is trapped in a violent relationship, try to help her instead of saying nasty things,” Nicki said on Twitter. “I always saw my parents fighting and arguing. I thought that was normal, but it is not. A man must make sure that you feel safe and not afraid.”
I rlly used to think love had to hurt. So I could never look down on anyone else. We are merely human. It’s not easy to leave. Especially in the world of IG where all ppl want to do is post relationship goal pics for clout & attention. A man should make you feel safe, not afraid

But I first had to learn how to love MYSELF. 🙏🏾 if you wouldn’t let a man treat your mother, your sister or best friend like that b/c you LOVE them, then you wouldn’t let a man treat YOU like that b/c you love YOU. This isn’t about judging. We judge too much. Lift them up. 🙏🏾

Nicki then focuses on the fact that everyone must first love themselves. “If you didn’t let a man treat your mother, sister, or best friend like that because you love her, don’t let a man treat you like that,” says Nicki.
In July this year, Nicki announced that she is going to marry her boyfriend Kenneth Perry. The artist announced at the end of last year that he had a relationship with him. Nicki received a lot of criticism at the time about her love choice. Kenneth has a considerable penalty. For example, at the age of sixteen he was convicted of an attempted rape and he was detained for ten years for manslaughter.
