A new series about Princess Diana is in the works. The miniseries ‘Who Killed Lady Di?’ takes place in the period after the death of the ex-wife of Prince Charles (73) in 1997, entertainment website ‘Variety’ reports. It is not yet known when the series will be shown.
“Americans have John F. Kennedy and Marilyn Monroe, and we have Princess Diana”
Princess Diana and her friend Dodi Fayed were killed in a car accident in France in August 1997. The series pays attention to the cause of the accident, the time after, but also to the paparazzi pressure Diana suffered from. The story is about a French detective and a British fan of Diana who starts a blog: Who Killed Lady Di?
The creators, Pierre Laugier and Julien Lilti, think the series shows ‘fascinating images from behind the scenes’. “Americans have John F. Kennedy and Marilyn Monroe, and we have Princess Diana, they are equally important.”
