The model filed a lawsuit against Vladislav Doronin last February in London.
Naomi Campbell reportedly filed a lawsuit against her former billionaire Vladislav Doronin months before he started legal proceedings against her.
In court documents obtained by TMZ on Friday, the businessman, who dated Naomi from 2008 to 2013, alleges that the star refuses to repay a sum he loaned to her over the years.
However, according to the New York Post gossip column Page Six, the supermodel had already sued the Russian real estate developer months earlier, in February.
In a London case that is currently in arbitration, the star aimed to “get some of his things that are in his possession back,” a source told the publication.
“She has been asking for these things for years, but they haven’t had a recent conversation. And then she went and did this, ”they added.
Paul M. O’Connor III, a partner at Kasowitz Benson Torres LLP, who represents Doronin, said in a statement that his client sought to resolve “a series of ongoing disputes” with Campbell privately.
“Unfortunately, despite our client’s best efforts, that was not possible, and seeking a resolution through the legal system is the only option left,” he added.
Although the exact amount remains unclear, he also claims that Naomi is holding onto some unspecified belongings of her ex-partner, worth more than $ 3 million.
