After visits by Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton, it’s time for Michelle Obama to come to Montreal for a conference on Monday.

The former First Lady of the United States, who has benefited from her eight years at the White House to develop initiatives to combat obesity, support veterans and promote education, will deliver a speech to from 6:30 pm

The speech will be followed by a conversation led by Sévrine Labelle, President and CEO of Femmessor Québec.

Important means of security, equivalent to what can be found in an airport, will be deployed to ensure the protection of the former first lady, said the Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal, which organizes the event in the context of the Bell International Leaders series.

Tickets for the conference went on sale in December at prices ranging from $ 50 to $ 395 (plus taxes) per person, while tables for 10 people were offered at prices as high as $ 9,500. All tickets have been sold.

Former US President Barack Obama preceded his spouse in the metropolis in June 2017. The former Democratic presidential candidate and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton also stopped in Montreal in October to promote her book What Happened.
