Meghan Markle was baptized in London last Tuesday, reported British media Thursday. The archbishop of Canterbury used special water from the river Jordan at the baptismal ceremony.
The ceremony was attended by her husband Prince Harry. Furthermore, a handful of people from the royal court were present.
Camilla Parker-Bowles, the wife of Prince Charles, was there. Prince William and Queen Elizabeth were absent.
Markle may now officially call himself a member of the Church of England. She did not, however, have to be baptized to marry Prince Harry. She did it out of respect for Queen Elizabeth, who is the head of the Church of England.
