Actress and singer Sally Kellerman, known for her roles in the films M*A*S*H and Back to School , has died at the age of 84.
After several guest-starring roles on television series, including one on Star Trek in 1966, Kellerman rose to fame in 1970 as Major Margaret ‘Hot Lips’ Houlihan in M*A*S*H , the film adaptation of the book MASH: A Novel About Three Army Doctors . which later became the popular series.
Kellerman was nominated for an Oscar and a Golden Globe for her portrayal of the field hospital’s chief nurse.
Kellerman continued to work into old age. From 2014 to 2016, she had another role on the soap opera The Young and the Restless . One of her last roles was on the web series Decker , where she played a parody of former first lady Hillary Clinton.

I just saw on Randal Kleiser’s FB page that actress Sally Kellerman has died at age 84. Many great performances in many great films, but I am going to mention her lesser known turn as the frustrated mom in FOXES (1980) who is battling the aging process.
