Mark Ruffalo, aka Hulk in the Marvel universe, is going to be the headliner of a drama series commissioned by HBO.

Mark Ruffalo will leave his Hulk costume for a drama series titled I Know This Is True and directed by Derek Cianfrance (The Place Beyond the Pines, Blue Valentine).

The actor, nominated three times at the Oscars for his roles in Everything Goes Well! The Kids Are All Right, Foxcatcher and Spotlight, will then return to the small screens and will embody twin brothers, Dominick and Thomas Birdsey.

Adapted from the famous novel by Wally Lamb in 1998, the I Know This Is Trueseries  will consist of eight episodes and will follow the twin brothers through the extraordinary complexity of the ties that unite them.

Mark Ruffalo and Wally Lamb will also be producing the series with Derek Cianfrance. It had been several years since Ruffalo and Lamb wanted to adapt this novel to television. This is now done since the series will air on HBO.
