The man who caused the fatal accident in which Nicki Minaj’s father (39) died has been sentenced to a year in prison. That reports entertainment website ‘TMZ’.
Robert Maraj died in February 2021 after being hit by a car. The driver, Charles Polevich, then drove on without providing assistance. In addition to the jail sentence, his driver’s license has been suspended for six months and he must pay a $5,000 fine.
Nicki Minaj has not yet commented on the conviction. The artist previously described her father’s death as the “most shocking loss” of her life.
