Lisa Marie Presley has won the divorce case against her ex-husband Michael Lockwood. The singer and daughter of Elvis Presley does not have to pay Lockwood any alimony. He claimed 1 million dollars (875,000 euros).
According to the judge, a 2007 agreement is lawful. This states that Lockwood waives its right to financial support. That is why the guitarist is not entitled to compensation, reports TMZ .
Although Lockwood stated that he had not read the agreement when he signed it, the judge decided that the document was valid, assuming that the guitarist’s lawyer had informed him of the contents.
The verdict of the judge was the last chapter in Presley’s divorce. Lockwood no longer has a chance on the money he demanded from his ex.
