In 1992 Calvin Klein launched a beautiful campaign with Kate Moss (48) and Mark Wahlberg (51). At the time, the two were very young. Kate was just 18 and appeared on set topless. She looks back on it with fondness, she says now.
“I was young and innocent”
“I don’t have good memories of it,” the model tells BBC Radio 4’s Desert Island Discs . “He was very macho and it was all about him. He had a good entourage with him and I was just ‘just a model ‘.”
She had to stand with her bare upper body against his body. “I felt objectified, vulnerable and scared. I was young and innocent. That’s what Calvin Klein loved.” Prior to the shoot, she was already anxious and was prescribed the tranquilizer Valium by a doctor. “I felt bad for a week or two. I didn’t get out of bed then.”
Mark does not want to respond to Kate’s statements at People . In 2020 he already spoke about the shoot. He then said, “I had a sharp edge then. I didn’t say much. But I did say goodbye to her.”
