Kate Middleton rarely goes unnoticed during her outings . On June 22, 2022, the Duchess of Cambridge, 40, and her husband, the Duke of Cambridge, were in Waterloo. Waterloo is not just London’s biggest guard . It is a place steeped in history, in particular that of the passage of thousands of Caribbeans who came to the United Kingdom between 1948 and 1971 for its post-war reconstruction . The Empire Windrush arrived at Port Tilbury on June 21, 1948. On June 22, 2022, the day after Prince William, Duke of Cambridge turned 40, he and his wife Kate Middleton unveiled the National Windrush Monument. The statue is the work of Jamaican artist and sculptor Basil Watson.
