Travis Scott (31) canceled a performance in New York on Monday evening because fans had climbed into a metal scaffolding on the site. Eight months ago, ten people were jostled at a Scott concert in Houston at his Astroworld festival.
Video images recorded by other visitors and shared via social media show that three visitors are on the scaffolding. Scott stops the music to tell them to come down. He also asks others in the audience to step aside so that the climbers can safely get off the scaffolding.
After the tragedy at Astroworld in November, charges poured in against the musician, who was also one of the festival’s organizers. In March he started Project Heal, a broad initiative that, in addition to scholarships for African American universities and help for young people with mental problems, also works to improve safety at major events.
