Kanye West (43) does not plan to come out with new material until he is off two of his record contracts. The rapper says on Twitter that he will not release music until his contracts with Sony and Universal have expired.
Kanye sued several record companies last year where he has had or is still under contracts. The rapper did not agree with the agreements he had made at the start of his career about the release of music and who owns the rights to it. However, all those issues were settled behind closed doors. Whether Kanye intends to take steps again is not clear.
I need to see everybody’s contracts at Universal and Sony

I’m not gonna watch my people be enslaved
I’m putting my life on the line for my people
The music industry and the NBA are modern day slave ships
I’m the new Moses
The rapper has released two albums since the settlement of the case. He also planned to release a record in July, but that album was not released on the planned date.
